Wedding day hair tips:
- Do schedule your hair appointments a few months ahead if you are getting married in the warmer months in the lakes area. The salons book fast for Saturdays and that way you are guaranteed to have enough stylists at the salon to accommodate for your size wedding party.
- Don't do any drastic new cuts or colors six months prior to your wedding. Remember, you will have those pictures forever.
- Do schedule a practice updo at least month before the big day and take pictures from all angles so the stylists remembers what she did.
- Don't be late to your appointment. Nothing is more frustrating than a huge bridal party showing up a half hour late and then rushed for time.
- If you do color your hair, do touch up your color at least one to two weeks prior to your wedding. Even an inch of our growth can ruin a beautiful style.
- Don't show up to your appointment with wet hair unless advised by your stylist. The best thing to do if your hair will be all up is to wash it the night before and put a little gel or mousse in it before it dries. If it will be down and you have an oily scalp, wash and dry the day of. Either way, make sure to come to your appointment with dry hair.
- Do speak up if there is something wrong with your part, bangs or it seems fuller on one side than the other. It is easier to fix these things before the style is completed and the final spray is done.
- Don't hesitate to ask if there is anyone available to polish nails or even give a mini pedicure. Sometimes no-shows happen and are convenient for you.
- Do call and confirm two weeks before your appointment that all the people scheduled are still coming or if you need more appointments. It can be very frustrating if a salon holds ten appointments for you and only five people show.
- Do wear a button-up shirt to keep from slipping anything over your hairdo.
